Doctors in government hospitals in Delhi and Mumbai went on a token strike demanding a revision of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations and an increase in their salaries and allowances. They also threatened to go on an indefinite strike from June 1 if their demands are not met. Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA), an umbrella organization of 15,000 resident doctors across 41 government hospitals in the national capital, has already conveyed their disappointments and demands to the government regarding the recommendation of 7th pay commission.
