A 30 months old girl presented for evaluation of an erythematous discoloration that first appeared at 18 months age. she had erythematous, geographically shaped vascular patches over the front of her left thigh, hip buttock, knee and shin. A skin biopsy spicimen was obtained and histopathologic examination revealed telangiectatic dermal vessels consistent with PWS. 5 months later she had hypopigmented shiny indurated plaques on her left thigh, hip , buttock with slightly pink poorly defined patches at the edges, preciesly in the areas of previous;y diagnosed PWS.
A clinical diagnosis of morphea was confirmed by histopathologic findings of dermal fibrosis, a patchy lymphocytic infilterate and zones in which the eccrine coils appeared encased in scleritoc collagen. My question is what should be the further treatment plan and duration of it ? I am thinking of calcipotriene and clobetasol…
