45 day old girl child presented with icterus, antenatal history is normal ,born by LSCS birthweight being 3.6 kgs, developed icterus SBR ? 11(reports not available, value told by parents ) on day two of life kept under phototherapy for three days and discharged. The following week SBR was repeated by the same doctor and found to be 16 and child was kept under phototherapy for five days and discharged SBR was 8 at time of discharge.yesterday child came to me clinically icteric .weight gain is adequate systeminc examination within normal limits nothing suggestive of any concealed bleed,no hepatosplenomegaly . Baby blood group was B and mothers O positive.
SBR checked yesterday was 15 with direct component of 1.1 . Hb is 12.8 normal for age, CBC is normal, peripheral smear, reticulocyte count and Thyroid reports are awaited. Coomb s negative.How do i proceed with this case?
