The US FDA with international regulatory and law enforcement agencies, recently announced that they are targeting 465 websites that illegally sell opioids and other potentially dangerous drugs marketed as cures for cancer. The effort is part of an annual global campaign named Operation Pangea XI, a global cooperative effort led by Interpol to crack down the distribution of illegal and counterfeit drugs. As part of the crackdown, the FDA sent warnings to seven different networks operating these websites that were offering up misbranded or unapproved drugs.
