Patient came to see the consultant gastroenterologist for complaints of dysphagia since few months. She looked very thin and was lethargic. While waiting outside OP she developed syncope and was shifted to emergency department immediately. She became conscious. Her BP was 70 systolic with tachycardia Ecg taken showed AF with 2:1 block She was given 1 litre of fluid and BP came upto 90 systolic Planned to start Amiodarone infusion to control rate. An ECHO done in ED showed a mass in the Rt.Atrium.

Discussed with cardiologist and confirmed to be Atrial Myxoma. A very rare cardiac tumor which can cause death if the outlet is completely blocked. She was shifted to CVTS and ultimately did an excision. What could be the reason for such changes in patient's condition?
