A 55 years old female patient presented with Sub-Acute Intestinal Obstruction with Malena, weight loss & Anaemia. She didn't have any urinary complaint. USG / CT Scan ➡️ 10 cm mass arising from Mid Ileum with adhesions to Urinary Bladder & Pelvis with small bowel dilatation. Colonoscopy ➡️ Normal Laparotomy done ➡️ Mass was arising from mid ileum with infiltration to bladder. Resection & Anastomoses of ileum was done.
The bladder was opened during dissection which was repaired in two layers. Post-Op was uneventful & doing well after one month. HP report ➡️ GIST IHC ➡️ CD 147 suggestive of malignant nature Oncophysian's Advice ➡️ Tab Imatinib Note: 80 % of GIST arise from upper GI. Only 20% arise from small bowel.
