Pulmonary rehabilitation is crucial for managing patients with a poor prognosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. A stepwise approach with a detailed assessment of pulmonary rehabilitation outcomes can benefit patients with poor response to standard treatment. Pulmonary rehabilitation is defined as β€œA multidimensional continuum of services directed to persons with pulmonary disease and their families, usually by an interdisciplinary team of specialists, to achieve and maintain the individual's maximum level of independence and functioning in the community.” 1 Β  Pulmonary rehabilitation aims at reducing the symptoms, decreasing disability, and improving the overall quality of life of patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
