Case presentation A 64-year-old woman presented to the clinician with complaints about her post-followup of T2DM medications. She reports compliance with her current medications. No significant burden of hypoglycemia. She reports her vision is unstable.

She lives in a rural area and does not have convenient access to an eye-care professional. Her last comprehensive eye examination was five years ago, from the onset of medications for T2DM .
