New advancements in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment have reduced the mortality rate in the past few years. An increased understanding of breast cancer's biological heterogeneity and pathophysiology has opened doors to developing new diagnostics and therapeutics against drug-resistance cancer cells. This has resulted in evolved diagnostics methods, including efficient screening tests, 2D/3D-mammography or breast tomosynthesis, and magnetic resonance imaging that have made early diagnosis possible.
