Recently, a person posing as a doctor in the orthopedic department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences was caught by the Delhi police. He was identified for impersonating himself as a faculty member of the orthopedic department. When confronted, the accused accepted of pretending as a doctor to gain treatment favors for one of his relatives. He also told that he had completed his MBBS degree in 2000. Don’t you think this is a serious issue to be looked on.

This incident highlights that any person can enter the hospital, and pose serious threat to the patients. If any person can impersonate a doctor in AIIMS then NO HOSPITAL IN INDIA IS SAFE. What measures should be taken by hospitals to avoid such incidents? Source: The Economic Times
