The use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for cancer patients has steadily increased over the years. 1 A nationwide survey in Nepal has reported the use of CAM therapy by 32% of cancer patients. 2 Another study of 1500 cancer survivors reported that 67% of the patients used CAM. 3 However, the lack of high-quality studies establishing the benefits and/or adverse effects of CAM in oncotherapy makes it challenging to educate patients.
