Medical Council of India had amended “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”, with additions of few clauses, which were amended on 31 October 2018. Checklist of revised regulations: 1. Determination of equivalence of the qualification of DNB (Broad Specialities) with MD/MS and DNB (Super-Specialities) with DM/M.Ch.
DNB candidates are considered as per the following criteria a)DNB candidates from an institution which now runs MCI recognized postgraduate degree courses in a given subject only. b)Candidates who have undergone DNB training in a multi-specialty teaching hospital with at least 500 beds. c)Candidates who have three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/ Tutor / or work experience gained during DNB training in both Broad Specialities and Super-Specialities courses in other locations/institutions…
