Angiotensin receptor blockers are -- Not adequately controlling diastolic blood pressure, not able to control STRESS induced rises in Blood pressure. Especially surgical stress - pre peri post Operative stress , etc . We are very very frequently seeing patients with Olmesartan H , Losartan H , Telmisartan H for Hypertension-- and yet having diastolic pressures of 100 . Even in General practice , patients on Angiotensin receptor blockers are having high systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
Also , their combination with THIAZIDES is leading to Hypocalcemia . Already prevalent, VIT D deficiency is causing more problems. I request everybody to kindly study this in your patients , verify the control , and share the results , Modify the regimens . What do you think about this condition?
