The WHO commemorates World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week from the 18th to the 24th of November this year. This year’s theme – “Preventing antimicrobial resistance together,” aims to raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance and encourage best practices to decrease the emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections. Antimicrobial resistance is a serious health threat worldwide. There is a great need for new antimicrobials that are effective against superbugs.
