In a major innovative move, scientists from central research institute developed an emergency medical kit for the armed, paramilitary and police forces only. This is India’s first indigenous kit that will provide protection from serious traumatic injuries and faster healing of wounds caused by nuclear warfare and radioactive leakage. This kit is constructed after two decades of work by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), New Delhi.
It constitutes of more than 25 items such as radioprotectors that give 80-90% protection against radiation and nerve gas agents, bandages that absorb radiation along with many tablets and ointments.
