Interstitial Lung diseases is just devastating disease of lungs.It may be part of Auto immune disease or idopathic. The only available remedy is steorids and some supportive drugs. I want to know- has some one tried Surfactant therapy in these cases. In preamture kids where lung maturity is an issue - surfactant has played a big role in saving the life of kids.
I will request all my pulmonoligist friends their opinion regarding if a trial can be made ? and If so - Can it be given through nebulization in adults or Intra tracheal administration. If it does not do any harm why not try it
