The study conducted in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US has found the Artificial Intelligence (AI) system can adjust dosage to make brain cancer treatment less toxic in chemotherapy. Glioblastoma is a malignant tumor that mostly found in the brain or spinal cord, and the prognosis of this tumor in an adult is no more than 5 years.
The Reinforced Learning (RL) technique is used in this model and it helps the patient to reduce tumor size. As compared to the traditional regimens, it finds an optimal treatment plan with the lowest possible potency and frequency of doses that should still reduce tumor size.
