Introduction Assault on the medical profession is a worldwide phenomenon. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, assault means ‘a violent physical or verbal attack or a concerted effort (as to reach a goal or defeat an adversary)’ . Violence has many causes and manifests in many ways. It can lead to physical injury and material damage.
