Synopsis A clinical study demonstrates that a novel mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content assay developed on monochrome, multiplex qPCR (MMqPCR) principles offers a more than 2-fold improvement on time and cost effectiveness over conventional (monoplex) qPCR, as well as improved reproducibility gave reduced effects of human pipetting errors. This week's ' MED FACT ' discusses a clinical trial from The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics, “ A Monochrome Multiplex qPCR Assay for the Measurement of Mitochondrial DNA Content ”. June 2018.
