Recently a Male patient aged 64 years had Junctional Rhythm as seen in the ECG taken on 30.08.2019 and already having HFrEF of 32% and treated for the same for the past six months with anti failure measures. The cardiologist advised pace maker preferably dual chamber along with CAG for this patient in a letter addressed to the hospital authorities. Unfortunately, no antiplatelets were prescribed now in spite of the cardiologist wants CAG for further interventions, a basic fault. This is the way things are at times going on in Cardiac treatment in India.
The ECG taken in our OPD on 03.09.2019 shows LBBB. The previous ECG during April 19 by the cardiologist in his hospital was showing the same LBBB. In the mean time while going through the records,it was found out that the patient was put on both Digoxin and also Carvedilol ,rate reducing drugs in spite of a left bundle branch block…
