A 62-year-old man was treated for urinary infection one week after surgical intervention for nephrolithiasis. He was administered ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day. After four days of treatment with antibiotics, the patient developed severe numbness in the feet, gradually ascending towards the calves, and sensory disturbances in the hands. Examination- Full strength in extremities Vibratory sensory distal deficit Patellar and achilles reflex absent No involvement of cranial nerves No ataxia or other autonomic features reported Electrodiagnostic test Performed in the 4 th week Peroneal and tibial nerve- not excitable.
