A 63 year old lady presented with haemoptysis and malaena.No H/O any drug intake,HT,DM ,alchohol intake,previous history of jaundice..U/S shows cirrhotic liver.Ascites ++..band ligation of oesophageal varices performed.Blood tranfused 4 units.Viral tests normal. Kindly discuss likely etiology,and prognosis.
What is your opinion about the need for liver transplant and how soon.Thanks in advance.
