Last year FDA approved 16 new indications/drugs for immunotherapies, targeted therapies, and combination therapies. Of the various immunotherapeutic approaches under research and clinical trials, Dendritic Cell Vaccines (DCV) has been very promising. However, only a couple of studies indicating the efficacy of DCV on Indian patients have been published. This article gives an overview of the different patient related characteristics the doctors may refer while developing safe and efficient DCV.
