Recently a young lady with vitiligo who was being treated earlier underwent a thyroid profile test. The result: Hyperthyroidism . No previous test of thyroid was done. Carbimazole was started along with vitiligo treatment. Parameters suggesting hyperthyroidism got corrected.
Pulse rate decreased. Palpitation also decreased. The vitiligo spots also started to decrease. Concomitant treatment of thyroid abnormalities sometimes helps vitiligo respond. Patient also was happy Please share your views on this.
