In the recent meeting between Union Health Secretary NHM, NACO and other health secretaries of the state the long-pending plan of combined tuberculosis (TB) and HIV control was discussed. The programme was opposed by most quarters, as it is difficult to merge these two vertical programs. If the centre approves this combined plan, what will be the future of TB and HIV patients?
