A 9 year old male child (with 75 kg weight 142 cm height) has excess hunger and is eating KHICHADI (meal preparation made from rice and lentils) 5 to 6 times a day in large quantity. Birth weight was 4.5 kg as per his father. He has excessive hunger since he started food intake. He can not tolerate hunger. Urinary cortisol and TSH are within normal limit.

He had recurrent cough followed by hospitalization quite a few times in the past. At present he has crepitation all over the chest field with normal CVS and CNS examination. My main concern is about his weight and hunger. Please guide if anything more is to be evaluated and what could be done to decrease his hunger. Are there any food items which can fill the tummy but have less nutritive value?
