A group of doctors were allegedly thrashed by family members of a woman after she died during treatment in the city on Friday. The deceased woman, Jebun Hala (36) is wife of a police constable Abdul Hala who is driver posted at the city police headquarters. According to sources, Jebun, a resident of Patrakar Society on Airport Road, was admitted to a renowned hospital on Sadhu Vasvani Road after she complained of labour pain. She delivered a girl around 11 pm on Thursday, but her health deteriorated due to excessive bleeding.
Attending doctors called specialists' but her pulse rate went further down. Later the doctors advised patient's family to shift her to a private hospital on Kalavad Road, where she died.
