We are already in the era of ophthalmic subspecialties and in this context corneal surgery in an old subspecialty. It is done for specific cornea disorders like keratoplasty, corneal folding, cross corneal linkage procedure for keratoconus. We have some corneal conditions like total corneal opacification, Hurlers disorder, corneal oedema in these conditions there are roles for corneal surgeon.
