In India, 12% of all confirmed COVID-19 cases are in individuals under the age of 20 years. Several experts predict the third wave, which may have a disproportionately high burden on children. Therefore, there is an imperative need to prepare for any future surge in COVID-19 cases in the pediatric age group.
