Guys, last year there was an uproar in Maharashtra about allowing non-allopathic doctors to prescribe allopathic medicines. Yesterday I asked an BAMS doctors about which medicines can they legally prescribe.
He said, NSAID pain-killers - YES Antibiotics - NO Oral anti-diabetic drugs(Metformin, Sulphonylureas), Insulin - Yes Anti-hypertensives - Yes Topical steroids - Yes Sedatives and Hypnotics - No Now, apart from few media articles, I find no concrete mention in the form of notifications on any regulators' website. Can anyone guide me on this?
