I have attended a CME where an expert on lipid profile laid a stress on the screening of lipid profile at the time of admission to college and there is no need of fasting blood samples.If the need arises, second blood sample can be taken after fasting for24 hours.Now as per, latest recommendation this test is considered as one of unnecessary test. What is current status of this test?
