Through my columns here and elsewhere I have been alerting my colleagues about the very serious problems of the denial of basic human rights to the mentally ill internationally and specially so in India . I published an open letter to the Prime Minister on the subject in Docplexus where I raised concerns about the gravitation of the mentally ill in prisons which is a matter of serious concern.
