A 30-year-old woman had a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (IUS) inserted by a general practitioner (GP) before 3 weeks. 10 days ago, she was presented to emergency department with severe abdominal pain. Physical examination: The abdomen is not distended and is soft. There is generalized lower abdominal tenderness. The threads cannot be visualized on speculum examination.
