According to the WHO’s estimation, asthma affected 262 million people and caused the deaths of 461,000 people in 2019. The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) is an organization launched in 1993 in collaboration with the World Health Organization, National Institutes of Health, and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, USA to increase awareness of asthma, identify the increased prevalence of asthma, promote asthma-related studies, and improve the availability of the asthma treatment. This year, GINA has selected ‘ Closing Gaps in Asthma Care ’ as the theme for World Asthma Day, i.e.
