A patient with abscess in anus reported to a private hospital in 2009. Surgeon after giving medical treatment advised minor surgery. Death Of patient occurred in OT. Actually what is transpired in OT missing. Known Facts:- Surgeon gave spinal anaesthesia but the patient died due to alleged overdosage.A complaint filed with police.
"Opinion of First medical board" cause of death is sudden cardio-respiratory arrest due to spinal shock which is negligence, found no negligence and justified spinal injection given by surgeon, it is not essential to call anaesthetist every time" Consumer Forum Judgment:- Hospital was asked to pay compensation of 20 lacs to deceased patient.
