I was just going through an in-house message in the group today that MCI / State medical Council derosters names of 15 doctors for violation of norms as applicable vide Medical Ethics regarding advertising their names and skills while posted in a private hospital in the state of Haryana for 15 days. We all are aware of the existing rules on this subject. I observe two interesting developments in this particular case if true as I believe.
Firstly , one may carry on violating some provisions of the law but no action is usually taken till somebody files a petition with the controlling body. Secondly , it is so prevalent and grossly misused provision in the entire country where probably all the corporate hospitals, big nursing homes and even individual practitioners are advertising in one way or the other.
