In another incidence of violence against doctors, private practitioners in the state of Uttarakhand have gone on strike since Tuesday, to protest against the attack of a mob of 50 people on a renowned cardiologist. Renowned cardiologist in the state of Uttarakhand was allegedly attacked by a mob of 50 people led by a local politician after one of the doctor’s patient died of a heart attack. In addition, the mob has gathered outside the hospital and is protesting against the hospital for medical negligence.
IMA members have accused the police and government of not taking appropriate actions since it involves a local politician.
