Bringing good news to medical students who have pursued or are pursuing their MBBS from China, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MHOFW) has recently issued a clarification in regards to their internship in India post their MBBS training in China. Through a public notice signed by the Joint Secretary of Medical Education, the Ministry of Health and Family Members was seen clarifying that students who had already done their medical internship training in China would not have to do so again after coming back to India.
In a notice issued by Health Ministry government of India stated that General Public is hereby informed that internship training completed by Indian national student during his/her MBBS course in China was/is acceptable for the purpose of grant of permanent registration under section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
