Pulmonary nocardiosis is a rare but life-threatening infectious disease caused by Nocardia species. It mainly affects immunocompromised patients such as AIDS patients and recipients of organ transplantations. However, an early diagnosis of pulmonary nocardiosis can be difficult due to nonspecific clinical signs or symptoms. Therefore, clinical suspicion of pulmonary nocardiosis is essential.
