She has completed MBBS &MD from KIMS, Karad. Diploma in Medicolegal Science(P.G.D.M.L.S), from Pune. At present she is working as Medical Director, B.K.L. Walawalkar Hospital, Diagnostic &Research center & Rural Medical college, Dervan, INDIA. She worked in esteemed & luxurious hospitals but she realized that it was not something that she wanted to do and started working at Dervan, the remote village in Konkan.
She joined this hospital only to find an awesome example of medical technology in the remote rural region. She started working as CMO in 1996. Over 22 years she improved her knowledge and skill base in cardiology, pulmonary medicine, Haemodialysis, Endoscopy and intensive care by training and working with super speciality visiting consultants.
