Publication synopsis Obesity is a common risk factor associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as low back pain, osteoarthritis, and neck pain. The study was conducted to investigate if obesity affects neuropathic pain, usually considered unrelated to the weight-load on the musculoskeletal system. The research article published in Pain Research and Management suggests that obesity and overweight can aggravate neuropathic pain intensity. Obesity is a major risk factor for pain.
