Because of the complexity and uniqueness involved in every laparoscopic surgery, comparing the efficacies of different surgical techniques for ventral hernias is difficult. Given the increased demand for ventral hernia surgeries in all age groups and the considerable variability in surgical management, tailoring the approach to match the need of individual patients is of utmost importance.
