Background and methodology: MCL is an aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma “with a pathognomonic chromosomal translocation t (11;14). As information on MCL is very little, the prognosis is uniformly dismal”. Aim: To understand the prognosis of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), thus providing comprehensive insights into the treatment of MCL in a developing country Methodology: Patients treated with MCL were retrospectively analysed for clinicopathological evidence by using STATA 14.0. Kaplan- Meier analysis along with Cox’s proportional hazards were the two methods implemented for determining survival.
Results: After reviewing 51 patients with MCL with the median age of 57 years: 39 (74%) showed extranodal involvement and 27.0 (54.0%) showed bone marrow positivity.
