A total of 2,869 quacks have been detected in Karnataka in the recent past, health minister of Karnataka said. Replying to an MLC in the Legislative Council, The Minister said that of 2,869 quacks detected, 634 were reported from Shivamogga followed by 276 cases from Bidar. The minister also said an expert committee has been constituted to streamline the working of medical practitioners and crack down on fake doctors.
