World Family Doctor Day (WFDD), observed on the 19 th of May every year, is an important occasion to recognize the essential function and valuable contribution of family physicians and primary care teams in healthcare systems worldwide. The World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) established the first World Family Doctor Day in 2010.
