My patient who is a 40-year-old male has a sudden onset of fever with a complaining headache, chills and sweating since last 7 days. The fever comes in day time around 2 pm and in night at1am; with Paracetamol the fever subsides. No other clinical sign. Asymptomatic. No sign of UTI, URTI, LRTI. No hepatitis feature.
CBC done within normal widal normal titter; malaria parasite by smear fluorescent negative by antigen negative. Started artemether inj. and levofloxacin for complete 5 days but fever is coming at the same frequency, same range 100-102f. Please suggest me what I should do next. Thanks.
