A 30 years HM, got an injury on left thigh while working in a factory with hammer. On xray, a metal piece was seen in the posterior part of thigh. the surgeons refused to remove it, saying it was risky to remove it.

Is it advisable to leave it as such? what harm it could do if left as such?
