To address this problem, Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (AMSPs) are crucial, with Diagnostic Stewardship (DS) emerging as a key element. DS involves the judicious use of diagnostic tests to improve patient outcomes and combat drug resistance. Implementing DS remains unclear but doesn’t hinder program adoption. DS is integral to modern patient care, guiding treatment decisions, optimizing diagnostics, and enhancing patient outcomes.
