With the recent emergence, over three hundred H1N1 cases have been identified in Kerala and the disease is likely spreading all southern parts of India. This creates a national threat all across the country and there is an urgent need to address the situation. For the moment, CDC has set-up new federal guidelines on using nonpharmaceutical measures to control influenza pandemics. Considering the situation in India, these guidelines may benefit to control the spread of the disease in the Indian States.
