A high-risk neurosurgical procedure at Kauvery Hospital has resulted in a remarkable early recovery for a 59-year-old woman who had been bedridden for seven years following a prior intracranial hemorrhage and surgery. The patient, dependent on tracheostomy support, presented in critical condition with a large frontal brain tumor occupying nearly half of the cranial cavity. Evaluation at the Kauvery Hospital, Vadapalani revealed significant mass effect with compression of adjacent brain structures. Given the patient’s prolonged immobility, compromised physiological reserve, and prior surgical history, the case posed substantial operative and perioperative challenges.
